
Network Engineer I

- Provides technical support, assists in the design, deployment, and maintenance of all enterprise systems.
- May lead small to medium sized projects independently.
- Tests and evaluates technical infrastructure to eliminate problems and make improvements.
- Creates installation and support documentation as needed.
- Has an intermediate to advanced level of knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the networking field.
- Relies on basic experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Provides direct support coverage for all enterprise network attached systems and physical network infrastructure including hardware, software, network tools & applications, back office, custom and third party business applications. Works with other groups in the IS Department to support projects and day-to-day operations as defined by supervisor.
- Continuously works to improve personal, technical, and business skills in order to provide the best service possible.
- On a rotational basis, provides 24 x 7 support coverage.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Network Design and Implementation
- Design and implement network solutions including routing, switching, firewalls, and wireless systems using Cisco technologies.
- Network Configuration and Management
- Configure and manage Cisco devices to ensure optimal network performance and security.
- Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve network issues such as connectivity problems and performance bottlenecks.
- Network Monitoring and Performance Analysis
- Monitor network performance and proactively identify areas for improvement using industry-standard network monitoring tools.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Partner with IT teams and business stakeholders to understand network needs and deliver timely support.
- Documentation and Training
- Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations and procedures and provide training to other IT staff as needed.
- Security
- Implement and uphold network security policies and procedures to protect corporate assets and data.
- Staying Current
- Continuously update skills by staying informed on the latest Cisco technologies and best practices.
- Expertise in Cisco Networking Technologies: Hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems is essential.
- Proficiency in Configuration and Management: Demonstrated ability to effectively configure and manage Cisco devices.
- Strong Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving Abilities: Proven experience in identifying and resolving network issues efficiently.

- Ability to work cross-functionally with IT teams and engage effectively with business stakehol
