Job Description:SUMMARY OF THE ROLESales and Tendering Specialist (Sales Engineer) for heavy lift and transport projectsSalary Range- $80,000- $110,000Working in Puslinch, OnThe Sales and Tendering Specialist, also known as a Sales Engineer, plays a critical role in driving business growth by managing the sales process and preparing competitive tenders for potential clients. This position combines technical expertise with strong sales acumen to deliver tailored solutions that meet customer needs and maximize company revenue.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
  • Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients to identify business opportunities and promote products or services.
  • Prepare, review, and submit tenders, proposals, and quotations in accordance with client requirements and company standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams—including engineering, project management, and finance—to ensure the accuracy and feasibility of technical and commercial offers.
  • Analyze customer specifications, assess project risks, and recommend optimal solutions to secure contracts.
  • Conduct presentations and demonstrations to showcase product features and benefits, addressing technical inquiries from clients.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to inform sales strategies and tender submissions.
This work will be conducted under the supervision of a Professional Engineer (P.Eng)
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in sales, tendering, or a technical sales role, preferably within a relevant industry (civil engineering, construction, renewables, oil and gas, offshore, ports and mining)
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents and specifications.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software
  • English, fluent proficiency verbal and written (French an asset)
  • Experience with SAP is considered an asset
