With a strong focus on collaboration and accountability, the role ensures the development and implementation of inclusive data guidelines, retention practices, and quality metrics. It also plays a key leadership role in fulfilling responsibilities as a data principal and privacy advocate, helping to foster a culture of trust, transparency, and ethical data use across the organization.If you’re ready for a head start, we’d like to meet you.What you’ll do:Lead data governance and data privacy mandate PI to ensure the business team maintains a robust and effective set of risks and controls within the data space.Deliver all data quality and retention artefacts as specified by DGO (Data Governance Office) to ensure PI is compliant to data quality and retention controlsDevelop data quality reporting capability usingBuild data governance and privacy maturity across the PI through the adoption of data governance and privacy standards in BAU activitiesSupport internal Personal insurance stakeholders to ensure that changes in the business, in the form of product, project, or transformational program, will conform to the data governance and privacy standards.Develop subject matter expertise in the application of data governance standards for P&C insurance data, specifically in Aviva Canada’s changing data landscape. Provide sound and pragmatic solutions for data governance matters in PI.Work with Aviva Canada data operations, governance, and privacy teams to maintain alignment between group frameworks and policies and provide adequate reportingBe a champion for our customers.
