Operations Manager, Kent Monkman Studio

- Collaborate with the Director, Art and Operations to support the full lifecycle of painting projects, including defining project scope, objectives, and timelines.
- Maintain clear and comprehensive project documentation, including meeting minutes, action items, and project plans, to ensure accurate record-keeping and facilitate knowledge transfer.
- Support the Painting Department with scheduling and inventory control to maintain efficient production workflows.
- Stay current with health and safety standards, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements; develop and enforce related Studio policies and procedures.
- Source, contract, and manage external vendors, suppliers and service providers as needed.
- Oversee the upkeep and maintenance of the Toronto Studio to ensure a clean, functional, and inspiring workspace. Coordinate with cleaning staff, IT support, and external contractors, and manage payments for contractors, insurance, utilities, and other operational expenses.
- Coordinate local transportation of in-progress artworks and manage art shipment logistics. Ensure artwork locations are consistently updated in Artlogic.
- Familiarity with fine art painting and studio practices.
- Experience with project coordination and inventory management systems.
- Proficiency with Google Docs; familiarity with Artlogic, Asana, and Photoshop is an asset.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
