Faculty: Department of Religion & Culture (St Thomas More College)Applications are being accepted from qualified individuals for a Limited Term position at the Lecturer rank or Instructor rank, in the Department of Religion & Culture, effective July 1, 2024 (the anticipated start date) to June 30, 2025. This is a one-year appointment.Review of Applications will begin on April 8, 2024 and will continue to be accepted until the position is filled. Email:Particulars of the Position: The Department has teaching needs in the areas of RLST 112.3 Western Religions in Society and Culture, RLST 200 Religions in Canada, RLST 240 Introduction to Islam, RLST 241 Islam in the Modern World, and RLST 283 Comparative Mysticism. The teaching load will be five 3 cu courses over the fall and winter terms.The appointment will be made at the rank of Lecturer or Instructor depending on the successful candidate's qualifications. Candidates must have a completed Master's or Doctoral Degree in Religious Studies or a related field.The salary bands for this position for the 2024-2025 academic year are:Lecturer: $83,150 to $123,458Instructor: $66,355 to $106,663(salary bands are based on the 2022-23 salary scales)Benefits: This position also includes a comprehensive benefits package which includes a dental, health and extended vision care plan, a pension plan, life insurance (compulsory and voluntary), sick leave, travel insurance, an employee assistance program, a professional expense allowance, and a flexible health and wellness spending program.Teaching & Research Expectations: STM is committed to high-quality teaching and research.
