Our state-of-the-art laboratories are equipped to handle a diverse range of soil and rock testing procedures. We are currently seeking a Civil Engineer with a P.Eng. designation, specializing in Geotechnical Engineering, to support our laboratory-based geotechnical operations.What you will be doing:Supervise and validate laboratory geotechnical testing programs (e.g., triaxial, consolidation, direct shear, permeability)Analyze test results and provide engineering interpretations and recommendationsPrepare detailed geotechnical laboratory reports and technical documentationEnsure compliance with industry standards (ASTM, CSA, etc.) and internal quality protocolsLiaise with project managers and clients to understand testing objectives and reporting needsMentor and support junior staff and lab techniciansMaintain professional registration and uphold ethical engineering standards What you bring to the table:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical EngineeringP.Eng. designation in good standing with a Canadian provincial engineering association5+ years of relevant experience in geotechnical laboratory testing and analysisStrong background in soil mechanics and geotechnical lab methodsExcellent data analysis, interpretation, and reporting skillsFamiliarity with geotechnical lab software and quality control systemsDetail-oriented, analytical, and highly organizedWhy Join Us?At AGAT Laboratories, we recognize and value our employees by offering a competitive benefits package, including:
