In this position you will have to design innovative and attractive mobility solutions for sustainable mobility users all over the world.In this position you will:
  • Ensuring that proposed design solutions embody Alstom's DNA and Perceived Quality values.
  • Effectively communicating design proposals and solutions using a variety of techniques including but not limited to sketches, renderings, Alias Models, and specification documents.
  • Working as part of multi-functional engineering team.
  • Working with external partners.
  • Supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of A&CD processes
  • Successful completion of bid and delivery projects through the timely completion of agreed deliverables.
  • Keeping abreast of technological developments and looking to enhance Alstom's mobility solutions.
  • Design task definition for operational teams (internal or external)
  • Close liaison with the Workload Manager for staffing the Design teams in time and according to requirements.
  • The efficient follow up of design projects through respect of design objectives in terms of specification, delay and cost.
  • The internal validation process for Tender or Project Design Reviews with customer and Management
  • The quality of internal and external design production in accordance with project needs and standardized acceptance criteria.
  • Research on culture, trends and longer-term tendencies for C&T
  • Manage the suppliers in charge of the production of primary samples.
  • Ensuring the archival of completed projects and implementable materials to benefit future projects.
As our ideal candidate:
  • You own an Industrial design bachelor's degree;
  • More than 10-years' experience in a multifunctional engineering environment delivering complex technical solutions.
  • More than 5 years' experience in rolling stock design.
  • You have experience working with one or more of the following softwares: Alias, VRED, Photoshop, Illustrator;
  • You have experience of contributing product design thinking and skills to multifunctional engineering teams;
  • You are able to solve complex problems and present innovative solutions;
  • You own a solid understanding of design processes;
  • You are able to communicate design proposals effectively using a range of mediums and techniques;
  • You have excellent French & English communication skills both written and spoken.
