You'll collaborate with a diverse group of experts across multiple disciplines while coaching and mentoring teammates to reach their full potential.What You Will DoThe Supervisor, Operational Safety & Planning is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring maintenance and construction activities across the Infrastructure Group to ensure safe, efficient service delivery. Working collaboratively with multiple departments, you'll manage resources, schedules, and operational constraints while identifying improvements to processes, data systems, and planning practices. This role also supports major work events, prepares performance driven reports, and represents the department in cross functional meetings.As a leader, you'll guide and mentor staff, maintain clear communication with senior management, and help drive both short and long term operational excellence.The role supports effective delivery by balancing resource availability and prioritization, stakeholder requirements, and budget constraints, while ensuring alignment with TTC policies, corporate objectives, and applicable safety regulations.The Supervisor also conducts after action reviews, provides feedback and recommendations for continuous improvement, supports and coordinates special project initiatives, and updates senior management as required.You will demonstrate behaviours that support diversity, inclusion, and a respectful work and service environment that is free from discrimination and harassment. - You have completed a post-secondary college diploma or university degree (civil engineering/industrial/civil technology) in a related discipline or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent.
- You have work experience in the field of rail/track maintenance/construction/rehabilitation and/or investigation.
- You have strong knowledge of streetcar/subway operations specific to infrastructure maintenance and repair.
- You currently have a valid, non-probationary, Province of Ontario class "G" driver's license in good standing and may be required to use own automobile when inspecting work locations.
- Maybe required to upgrade to a Class “DZ” license.
- You have strong planning and project coordination skills working on complex projects.
- You have tact and diplomacy when providing direction and support with the ability to coach and mentor others to accomplish goals.
- You have strong interpersonal skills to manage relationships across stakeholders and apply appropriate political acuity in day to day interactions.
