Headquartered in Abbotsford, BC, our third generation, family-owned business is focused on designing quality products and delivering exceptional service.We are looking for a Inventory Control / Cycle Counter to join our growing team!As a member of the Supply Chain team, the Inventory Control / Cycle Counter is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory through regular cycle counts, discrepancy resolution, and data entry in the ERP system, ensuring that inventory needs of operations are met. They consistently support inventory accuracy through cycle counts, identify process improvements, and contribute to efficient, organized operations in a fast-paced environmentRequirementsWHAT YOU’LL DO:Counting:
  • Perform cycle counts
  • Operate a forklift and swing reach on a regular basis
  • Utilize hand-held devices, computers, and counting tool, including weight counting scales
  • Aid in accurate inventory control
  • Track and record accurate inventory
  • Research and report discrepancies and damaged products
  • Review inventory areas to ensure materials in their proper place
  • Determine and report out potential SMOI product
System Accuracy:
  • Input inventory adjustments into ERP based on counts
  • Identify product dimensions and units of measure and input into ERP system
  • Upload images to ERP system as required
Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify areas for process improvement and assist in implementation to enhance inventory accuracy control practices
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Assist the Inventory Control Specialist as needed
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse and operations teams to coordinate counts
Accountability and Parameters:
  • Maintain a minimum of 98% degree of accuracy for counts and data entry
  • Cycle counts must be completed as scheduled each week
  • Adhere to all company policies, guidelines, and safety requirements
WHAT YOU HAVE:
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency
  • Physical inventory and cycle counting experience
  • Some experience in Excel and a respective ERP system preferred
  • Ability to formulate solutions and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Ability to apply simple math concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situation and use measurement tools
  • Have experience operating a forklift and swing reach
WHO YOU ARE:
  • Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and physical counts
  • Comfortable operating in multiple software systems
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds throughout the course of the day
  • Able to regularly stand, bend, reach, climb, move around the warehouse, and be able to work sometimes in high and/or cramped places
