A well-established Canadian industrial manufacturing company is looking for a Procurement Manager to lead its supply chain and procurement operations. This is a key role responsible for ensuring procurement strategies are aligned with production needs, business objectives, and long-term growth plans.The Procurement Manager will be responsible for leading the full scope of the supply chain function, from sourcing and vendor management to logistics and ERP system optimization. This role plays a vital part in maintaining production efficiency and ensuring the resilience and cost-effectiveness of supply chain operations.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company objectives and support efficient production.
  • Lead all procurement operations, including strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, and supplier performance management.
  • Oversee inventory planning and logistics to ensure on-time availability of materials while controlling costs.
  • Utilize data analysis and reporting tools to optimize procurement processes and drive operational improvements.
  • Collaborate across departments to align procurement with production, finance, and corporate goals.
  • Optimize ERP system usage and supply chain digital tools for accurate planning and visibility.
  • Manage risks related to supplier reliability, cost fluctuations, and supply chain disruptions.
  • Ensure all procurement practices comply with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Coach and lead cross-functional teams to promote collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related discipline (MBA or Master's is an asset).
  • Over 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, ideally in a manufacturing setting.
  • 3-5 years in a leadership role with proven results in improving supply chain operations.
  • Expertise in procurement, logistics, inventory management, and contract negotiation.
  • Skilled in using data to drive decisions and process improvements.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, build alignment, and execute strategic initiatives.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a strong focus on cost efficiency, compliance, and resilience.

  • Base salary starting from CAD $140,000, depending on experience.
