Our Public Sector Client is looking for a Senior QA Test Automation Engineer to perform automation, performance and API/integration testing to support a large complex Claims Management Systems. 00878311 year contract, possibilities of extensions. Hybrid in office, Vancouver candidates preferred.Must Have:
  • 10+ years (real time) work experience in testing software, of which 8+ years using UI automation, including building new frameworks, UI testing, database, batch, API, performance, and load testing.
  • Significant experience in developing automation test strategies, test plans and road maps for test automation.
  • Significant experience with test automation and performance tools such as Katalon Studio, Selenium, Playwright and LoadRunner
  • Experience working in Curam and/or claims management systems
  • 5+ years' experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Experience working with Azure DevOps or a similar tool to maintain tasks, manage backlogs, maintain test case repositories, etc.
  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) training and certification such as SAFe Practitioner, or a commitment to undertake training and obtain certification within 2 months from commencement of work.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)
Responsibilities:
  • Analyzing and understanding requirements to prepare test strategies and plans, including test estimates.
  • Creating test plans, test cases and test data.
  • Automation scripting and testing (UI automation / Performance / API testing / CICD).
  • Creating an automation framework for a complex project with heavy use of screens and API, using Selenium, Katalon Studio and Playwright.
  • Reusing and combining IT and Business test scenarios and test cases.
  • Reporting test results including defects / bugs, including steps to reproduce, screenshots, impact and severity and exposing in a QA Dashboard.
  • UAT triage support, coordinating between the business areas.
  • Investigation and root cause analysis of production incidents.
  • QA feature lead on CMS initiatives.
  • Working within an Agile/DevOps software development environment.
  • Providing feedback to improve team performance.
  • Mentoring QA team members.
