- Respond to service calls involving commercial and industrial gas‑fired equipment and systems
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain natural gas and propane systems within the scope of a Gasfitter A license
- Service and repair large‑scale and complex gas‑fired equipment, including boilers, burners, rooftop units, make‑up air units, process equipment, and hydronic systems
- Perform start‑ups, shutdowns, inspections, testing, combustion analysis, and preventative maintenance
- Identify system deficiencies and provide clear recommendations, repair scopes, and corrective actions
- Read and interpret gas schematics, P&IDs, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, standards, and regulations (CSA B149, Manitoba Gas & Safety Codes, and company safety policies)
- Communicate professionally with customers, facility managers, and internal project teams
- Complete service reports, work orders, and digital documentation accurately and efficiently
- Coordinate service activities with other trades, supervisors, and project managers as required
- Participate in on‑call rotation and after‑hours emergency service work, as required
- Maintain and operate tools, equipment, and company vehicle in a safe and professional condition
- Actively participate in safety meetings, training, and hazard assessments
- Valid Manitoba Gasfitter A (Class A) Certification (required)
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in commercial and/or industrial gas service work
- Strong understanding of combustion systems, burners, controls, and hydronic applications
- Experience with troubleshooting large‑scale gas systems
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manufacturer documentation
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record
- Physically capable of performing duties of the trade, including lifting, climbing, working at heights, and in confined mechanical spaces
- Dual trade certification (Plumber, Steamfitter/Pipefitter, or Refrigeration)
- Experience servicing standard commercial, industrial facilities, or institutional buildings
- Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and advanced controls
- Familiarity with mobile service management platforms
- Safety certifications such as First Aid, Fall Protection, Confined Space, Aerial Work Platforms
