Your work ships on partner websites, so you'll need to balance conversion performance with seamless integration into diverse brand environments and tech stacks.You'll own the end-to-end design of purchase flows, product discovery surfaces, and sales panels that directly impact attach rate and conversion. Working closely with Product, Engineering, Growth, and Marketing, you'll drive design strategy, build scalable and testable UI solutions, and lead rapid experimentation to deliver measurable commercial outcomes across partner integrations. You'll also mentor other designers and help raise the bar on design quality across the team.Key Responsibilities:Lead the design and optimization of embedded purchase flows, sales panels, and product discovery experiences that drive conversion within partner retail and banking platformsDesign for partner contexts, adapting UI solutions to align with diverse brand guidelines, platform constraints, and integration patternsDefine and create component variations and UI treatments purpose-built for A/B testing and rapid experimentation across partner environmentsIdentify and reduce friction across product discovery, quoting, comparison, and checkout flows through data analysis and user researchTranslate growth hypotheses into testable design solutions in partnership with Product and Growth teams, and advocate for design-led experimentationPlan, conduct, and facilitate user testing to validate design decisions and inform iteration; build repeatable testing practices within the domainCreate high-fidelity prototypes and specifications that work within our design system while flexing to partner requirementsArticulate design rationale clearly to internal teams and external partners, including presenting work directly to partner stakeholdersManage multiple concurrent projects across partner integrations while maintaining quality and momentumCollaborate with engineers to ensure high-quality implementation across varying partner tech environmentsDrive the evolution of our design system, building flexible, scalable components that perform across partner contextsMentor junior and mid-level designers through feedback, design critiques, and pairing sessionsProactively identify design opportunities and advocate for UX improvements that impact key business metricsSkills & ExperienceWhat you will bring:8+ years of experience in product/UX design with a strong track record in ecommerce, transactional flows, or conversion-focused digital productsDemonstrated experience designing for growth: A/B testing, funnel optimization, and experiment-led iteration with measurable outcomes (case studies preferred)Experience designing embedded or white-label experiences that integrate into third-party platforms, understanding the constraints and opportunities of designing for someone else's brand contextStrong product discovery skills: identifying user needs, mapping competitive landscapes, and surfacing design opportunitiesSharp attention to detail in visual design and interaction design: micro-interactions, spacing, and edge cases matter to youProficiency in Figma, including interactive prototyping and working within design systemsFamiliarity with analytics platforms (e.g., GA4, Amplitude) and experimentation tools (e.g., Optimizely, LaunchDarkly) to inform and measure design impactExcellent communication skills: able to articulate design rationale to both internal stakeholders and external partners, with experience presenting to senior or external audiencesProven experience leading design workstreams within cross-functional teams spanning product, engineering, growth, marketing, and contentComfortable producing campaign and marketing design assets alongside core product workActive use of AI tools to accelerate workflows, ideation, and prototypingWhat you will have:A pixel-perfect eye for detail and a passion for data-informed designStrong visual and interaction design fundamentalsProactive mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and drive solutions independentlyExceptional time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple concurrent projectsComfortable working autonomously while also collaborating effectively across multiple teamsA/B testing mindset with experience designing experiments and measuring impactDemonstrated ability to mentor and elevate the work of other designersBold, authentic and solutions-focused mindset aligned with CG's valuesWhy Cover Genius?Cover Genius not only cares about being the best in our industry, we care about our team.
