- ETL Development and Optimization: Design, build, and fine-tune high-performance ETL pipelines using Python and Oracle SQL, leveraging your expertise in query optimization and performance tuning.
- Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, best practices, and continuous learning.
- Collaboration and Solution Design: Partner with stakeholders across the organization to understand their data needs and translate them into scalable and efficient data solutions.
- Data Integrity and Security: Implement and maintain processes to ensure data quality, integrity, security, and optimal performance across our data platforms.
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering, advocating for and implementing improvements to our data infrastructure and processes.
- Extensive Experience: 10+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering or a closely related field.
- Database Expertise: Mastery of Oracle SQL, including advanced query optimization and performance tuning techniques.
- ETL Proficiency: Proven experience developing and optimizing ETL processes using Apache Spark.
- Programming Skills: Strong programming skills in Scala and/or Python for data engineering tasks.
- Leadership Qualities: Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor engineering teams, manage projects effectively, and foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Data Platform Knowledge: Solid understanding of data warehousing principles, distributed computing architectures, and cloud platforms.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- DevOps Mindset: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Real-Time Data Experience: Knowledge of real-time data processing frameworks such as Kafka.
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred
