- Sets up machine according to standard operating procedures and spec sheet, ensures good manufacturing practices are followed
- Understands machine capabilities and check cure time
- Reads and understands PDF/docket for correct bag specifications
- Use of MRP system for proper job and operation specifications; inputs production and waste for each job, and materials used
- Reads, understands and follow the printed and/or online schedule
- Files maintenance work orders for any repairs required
- Ensures quality of product coming off machine for any defects based on set standards
- Adheres to all requirements of Color Ad's Food Safety Program and reports any issues noticed to a member of the Food Safety Team
- Maintains clean, safe workplace and machine
- Previous experience as a machine operator
- Minimum Grade 12 education
- Minimum 1-year experience in a manufacturing environment
- Mechanical dexterity, math and measuring skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced production environment
- Computer proficiency is an asset
- Ability to translate written/drawing into product
- Previous experience in a print environment is an asset
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and independently
- Ability to lift, bend, twist in performing the functions
- Frequent walking and standing for extended periods of time
- Exposure to moderate noise and odors
- Overtime pay
