- Set clear objectives, provide regular feedback, and support professional growth for team members
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to ensure efficient transportation, distribution, and inventory management.
- Manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to achieve on-time and cost-effective deliveries.
- Monitor and analyze transportation costs, delivery performance, and inventory accuracy.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Production, and Sales to align logistics activities with business priorities.
- Ensure compliance with Canadian, U.S., and international shipping regulations.
- Partner with the Engineering team to maintain product compliance for all shipments.
- Oversee inventory planning, control, and accuracy across all storage locations.
- Implement best practices to minimize stock discrepancies, optimize stock levels, and reduce carrying costs.
- Analyze inventory data to forecast demand, identify trends, and support decision-making.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, cost savings, and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare and present logistics and inventory performance reports to senior management.
- Leverage technology and data analytics to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in logistics operations, including team leadership.
- Proven expertise in customs regulations, trade compliance, and international shipping.
- Logistics/Trade Compliance or Hazardous Materials Handling/Shipping certifications (highly preferred).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities with a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- A track record of implementing process improvements and achieving measurable operational results.
