Job overviewOur client is seeking an intermediate Document Control Specialist to deliver document control, records turnover, and asset data support across Gas, Liquids, and Power projects while ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely project documentation through the full lifecycle.Must Have skills
  • 5+ years of experience in a project environment or a closely related field
  • Strong experience delivering document control and records turnover services across project lifecycles
  • Knowledge of documentation and turnover process requirements for Gas, Liquids, and Power projects
  • Experience identifying, tracking, and managing asset data and related records
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word, plus strong SharePoint skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight timelines in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have skills
  • Diploma in Information, Business Analysis, Records Management, Library Studies, or equivalent post-secondary education with relevant experience
  • Experience with document control systems and information management tools beyond SharePoint
  • Working knowledge of OneDrive, Teams, Power BI, and Bluebeam
  • Experience auditing records, validating metadata, and preparing documentation for retention
  • Process improvement experience within project or records management environments
Responsibilities
  • Deliver document control and records turnover services for Gas, Liquids, and Power projects throughout the project lifecycle
  • Support and communicate Business Unit requirements to project teams and stakeholders
  • Coordinate with internal and external parties to ensure vendor records are turned over on time and meet Final Vendor Data Book requirements
  • Process project documentation for retention through record audits, asset data review, and metadata attribution
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve record and data deficiencies with stakeholders
  • Manage multiple projects independently while handling competing priorities and deadlines
  • Interpret project-specific business requirements and align documentation practices with lifecycle gating methodologies and compliance standards
  • Provide specialized technical support and leadership to project teams related to records turnover and information management
  • Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency across the team and stakeholder groups
  • Support effective project execution through the use and integration of tools such as SharePoint, Excel, Word, Power BI, and Bluebeam
