We are a part of GroupM, WPP's global media investment management company.OverviewTaking ownership of the direction of the client's E-commerce business; driving performance and outcome strategies for their E-retail businesses beyond Amazon i.e Walmart, Instacart, Shoppers Drug Mart and PC Express. Also, evaluate and expand to new retailers like Hudson's Bay, Sephora etcIn collaboration with our client, as E-commerce Director you will be leading the E-commerce function, strategy, and practice. You will work closely with all brand stakeholders, clients, and internal teams to provide best advice; plan and monitor E-commerce strategy and innovation with focus on business understanding and meeting KPI's. This role will be based on Montreal, QC.Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage high-level, multi-year growth strategies for the client, leveraging channel, retail, and media expertise.
  • Actively participate in the development & delivery of e-commerce services + strategy across all brands working closely with the Managing Director and the internal and client e-comm team as well as retailers.
  • Prepare insightful analysis, summarized in compelling reports, to provide ongoing delivery of insight to brands, from vendors, innovations, competitors.
  • Routinely collaborate with the media team to arrive at strategy & recommendations supported by data and analytics.
  • Collaborate closely with Walmart, Loblaws (SDM and PC Express), Instacart and other e-retail partners.
  • Work with internal and external groups on the development and improvement of process.
  • Oversee staffing training and developmental needs.
  • Develop, solidify, and maintain client relationships ensuring collaboration, strong partnership, and a united vision to achieve client business objectives.
  • Support client's plan presentations: accountable to ensure the plan answers the brief in a client appropriate manner that will drive their business goals.
  • Help develop and steward client measurement plans and collaborate across disciplines to ensure KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) are delivered.
  • The central POC & owner within the team of media-driven e-commerce business KPI's.
  • Identifying tech, data & partnership opportunities that can improve & scale client outcomes, I.e., the thought leader and owner of products driven innovations.
  • Development of industry and category POVs on respective client business
  • Required to lead and present e-Retail QBRs.
What You Will Need
  • Minimum 8+ years of relevant digital, implementation experience or related working across
digital with an emphasis in e-retail and media
  • Solid understanding of the e-commerce and e-retail ecosystems, beyond media; experience managing budgets
  • Hands-on experience in developing and delivering insightful analysis, storytelling based on data and leading business review meetings
  • Experience with Sponsored Search and Display on Walmart, Criteo, Instacart, LCL Media, Amazon; knowledge of digital media channels
  • Data-driven decision making for business growth and customer acquisition
  • Proven experience with people leadership to design a vision and strategy that motivates the
team and fuels growth
  • Skilled at leading client conversations and managing client responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage concurrent projects
  • Awareness of client business issues, industry/consumer trends, promotional resources, market
status, and competition.Qualities
