- Creation and execution of targeted business development strategies and tactics for BAS and HVAC to acquire new business, penetrate new and existing markets as well as expand existing client service delivery scope.
- Contribute to the business growth and profitability of the organization via successful negotiation and winning of effective BAS and HVAC business solutions.
- In collaboration with internal stakeholders and team members, develop appropriate solutions that address client needs and business strategy/objectives while taking into consideration the clients' business and value drivers, as well as perceived value of the proposed solution(s).
- Provide ongoing status of business development opportunities and activities via CRM software.
- Participate in the review of strategies and approaches to identify areas for ongoing improvement.
- Attend regular meetings to discuss suspect-prospect status and strategies to secure business for the organization.
- Development and maintenance of effective relationships with prospects, clients, consultants and mechanical contractors as well as external contacts to support business development pursuits and marketing initiatives.
- Elevate the visibility of the organization and thought leadership on behalf of BGIS ITS Canada Ltd. through involvement in trade shows, marketing events and speaking engagements.
- Develop and maintain current industry knowledge and trends for all relevant vertical markets, their competitive landscape, prospective clients etc.

- More than 5 years of direct Building Automation System (BAS) business development experience.
- More than 3 years of HVAC business development experience.
- University graduation or professional certification (e.g. P. Eng, CMA, CGA or equivalent courses) is an asset.
- Exceptional business acumen.

- Highly skilled at sourcing, pursuing and nurturing new clients.
- Highly skilled at understanding client pain points and matching them to the BGIS solution.

- Proven strategic thinking and planning skills as well as tactical implementation abilities.
- Proven experience developing strong relationships with clients, consultants and mechanical contractors.
- Fully developed communication, interpersonal, consultative skills.
- Strong and proven analytical abilities.
- Advanced collaborative skills to work with cross functional teams in the delivery of strategic/key business projects-deliverables.
- Ability to work independently while working collaboratively with team members and stakeholders alike.
